Picking up Grandpa Brandt

This year and last year my dad has had the opportunity to come and stay with us for about 1 month during November and beginning of December and we are all very excited to got pick him up and since he stays with his brother in NV we meet at a Greek restaurant which is between here and there and visit for a while and eat and Andrija's face was that smile that you see in the picture the whole time.

My Aunt and Uncle got to bring their new little puppy and Domenique just couldn't get enough of it, she would have preferred that it come home with us though.

My Aunt Tracie and Uncle Skip

My nephew Tristen which my girls get along with him real well

In Amboy, CA there is a tree that we called the "shoe tree" which I have to say is pretty interesting to look at and they are not just old shoes some are brand new and they are on this tree and all over this is just a small portion of them.

A little family photo except for Caleb who took our picture for us.
So we had to find out what they story was behind the "shoe tree" and the lady at the gas station said it started in the old days when people would walk around in the Chloride fields and by the time they got around the corner their shoes were eaten up or deformed and so people have just continued the tradition of tossing their shoes over ever since.

This is a chloride field they are pretty cool to look at.

between the fields there is this water so of course we had to stop again and go look at it

I am a little curious to know if the water is salty or warm or cold but I wasn't about to touch it and we didn't let the girls go down by it either very fascinating to us to see and live so close to.
